Zoanthids Corals (Zoas)

Zoanthids are a great coral for beginners. The Zoanthid can tolerate a wider variety of water conditons than most other species of coral. Zoanthids are described as a soft, colonial coral that can quickly grow into a sea mat covering sand beds or rock. The zoanthid polyps are circular with a single mouth in the center. Most often the zoanthid has radial tentacles making a frilly skirt around the animal. Zoanthids come in a variety of color combinations putting them in high demand for coral reef aquariums. Zoanthids are often referred to as zoas.

The corals for sale in this section are full colonies, not frags. The egg crate visible in our pictures measures 2 inches for every 3 squares. This will help visualize the actual size of the coral.
